![]() ![]() Yes they are expensive, but you do not ever have to worry about killing your cable, downtime, etc. I still 100% suggest spending the money and buying a real unit. Which can be restored, but you have to solder a LPT cable onto it with some resistors. AND do not use software higher than what the cable is (so 805, use 805 software, 812, use 812 software). But with all of these cables you HAVE to make sure you are not online while you are using them. With the 805 you do not have to do any of that. Also read a few times that after 20-30 uses you are hosed, not sure why. I have read that 812 is "good", but you do have to unplug it every once in awhile and plug it back in. Now if you are good at soldering, you can just about buy any cable 704 or higher and flash it with whatever ROM you want (i.e. But for us b7 guys, we should be able to do everything we need to. I am sure you could look for release notes. I am not sure what is different in the software between 812 to 805. ![]()
